On October 5th and 6th, 2024, the Wetra team gathered at the stunning Orchard Resort & Spa in Melaka for a transformative team-building event. Day 1: “Teaming to Develop High Performance” – A Motivational Session by Omar Stirling
The first day kicked off with an inspiring motivational speech by Omar Stirling. As a Chartered Master Trainer, Omar’s expertise in team dynamics and high performance shone through as he introduced the concept of the “One Team Mindset.” His session emphasized the importance of working together as one cohesive unit, rather than as individuals. Omar’s insights sparked a renewed sense of unity and purpose in each team member, setting the tone for the days ahead. What stood out the most during the session was Omar’s ability to keep the audience engaged, using humor, personal anecdotes, and interactive elements. The day began with a fun and unique challenge – the Zombie Tissue game. In this activity, each team member was wrapped in tissue, which could break apart at any moment. The challenge required the teams to switch members while keeping the tissue intact, learning the value of being resourceful and adaptable. The key takeaway was understanding that the team’s ability to solve problems together – even in unexpected circumstances – is what truly drives success.

Building the Big Tissue Wheel: Teamwork and Communication at the Core
One of the most memorable activities of the day involved creating a massive tissue wheel. In this challenge, all members of the team were required to fit inside a giant tissue wheel without letting it break. From the start, it was clear that the task required absolute teamwork and seamless communication. The group needed to work together to ensure that every individual fit inside, while the tissue held together and they moved the wheel from point A to point B.
This activity was not only fun but deeply insightful. It reinforced the importance of clear communication, mutual trust, and collaboration. Each person’s role was critical, and only by working in sync could the team achieve success. The big tissue wheel challenge truly highlighted how each member’s contribution plays a vital role in the overall achievement of a collective goal.
The Money Collecting System: A Fun and Competitive Twist
To add a layer of excitement and encourage engagement throughout the event, Omar Stirling introduced a unique money collecting system. Each team was given the opportunity to collect token money by answering questions correctly, with the help of Omar’s assistance – the “Angels.” These Angels acted as guides, providing teams with opportunities to earn tokens for correct answers during various activities.
At the end of the event, the team that had accumulated the most token money was awarded prizes, adding a fun and competitive element to the event. This system reinforced the idea that knowledge, collaboration, and active participation could lead to tangible rewards, making the entire experience even more enjoyable for wetra team building event.

Spanning four consecutive days from March 18th to March 21st, 2024, the event garnered widespread attention and participation. The extended duration ensured maximum outreach and allowed for sustained community involvement. As a result, the event not only provided immediate benefits to participants but also established long-term goodwill and rapport within the community. Beyond the allure of prizes, this event held profound benefits for the community. By patronizing local restaurants and engaging in the festivities, participants contributed directly to the local economy and supported small businesses. Moreover, the collaborative nature of the project fostered a sense of unity and cohesion within the community, exemplifying the communal spirit synonymous with Ramadan.
